Burn, Brother, Burn! GC 13 August Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy.... Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Psalm 32:11-33:1Never underestimate the drawing power of joy. Its like a blazing fire that captures the attention of people in darkness. In fact, in a dream I had many years ago, God called it spontaneous combustion. I didnt even know what the term meant until the next day. When I looked it up in a dictionary, heres what I found: Spontaneous combustionthe process of catching fire and burning as a result of heat generated by an internal chemical reaction. Thats it! Joythe process of catching fire and burning as a result of heat which comes from the Holy Ghost! Its time to rejoice, to rise up out of our exhaustion and implement the power of praise. When you do, youll enter a domain of power, freedom and the joy of the Lord. Its a domain thats alive and shining with the presence of God. So throw off those old inhibitions. Take God at His Word. Leap. Shout. Sing. Be ready to obey the Spirit of God. Let yourself catch fire in the Spirit and never stop burning!Job 37-39; Revelation 18-19I am glad in the Lord and I rejoice. I shout for joy because praise is becoming and appropriate for those who are upright in heart. Psalm 32:11-33:1, The Amplified Bible
