KCM Europe Responds to Terrorist attack in Norway 9 August 2011

On Friday the 22nd of July 2011, it was reported that in Norway people had died from a shooting attack at a youth rally and also from a bomb attack in the Norwegian capital city of Oslo.

The KCM Europe director Martin Hawkins asked the prayer ministers to focus prayer on Norway and make quick contact by telephone with our partners there, to express our support during this national crisis. Prayer ministers were able to make contact by telephone, and if no response, then by email or letter assuring them of our prayer support. In this way we were able to reach out to all KCM partners living in Norway. The team of prayer ministers also met together several times to pray for the country and those affected by the tragedy.

We have received responses from Norway that the contact calls, emails and letters were really appreciated, thanking KCM for the demonstration of love.  We understand that the partners who responded were not directly affected by the events, but they expressed their thanks that we had prayed for the nation and stood with them. We continue to pray for God’s peace in Norway and that many will turn to Him for comfort and salvation.
